Syntroleum’s Fischer-Tropsch jet fuel was tested in a B-52
on September 19, 2006 at Edwards Air Force Base in California. This historic flight utilized
Syntroleum’s fuel in two of the plane’s eight engines and is the first time that FT
jet fuel has been tested in a military flight demo. This landmark event is a result
of more than four years of successful research and development efforts with the U.S.
Department of Defense (DOD), focused on producing a high performance alternative fuel
for military applications.
